![]() ![]() ![]() Despite the 1.4.1.2 changes, stars will still fall when the player takes damage from their own Exploding Bullets. The Bee Cloak can be used to a more potent effect. With high defense, one can stand on a Spike with the Star Cloak equipped to accumulate large numbers of stars. The Star Cloak is of less use when dealing with a ranged attacker, as the stars will not impact any enemy that is not close to the player at the time. This lighting effect is much more pronounced than that of the light particles that fall after the stars hit the ground and can be exploited by deliberately taking damage to map out dark areas above the player. Furthermore, unlike the Starfury's effect, the stars emit light while insubstantially passing through blocks. The effect of the Star Cloak is similar to that of the Starfury, but the stars fall faster, and the focal point is the player rather than the cursor. After that point, any foreground block will stop them. The Star Cloak is effective even when deep underground, as the stars will pass through blocks until they are near or past the height of the point where the player took damage.Only three stars will fall at a time no matter how many of these items are equipped. The falling star effects of the Star Cloak, Bee Cloak, Mana Cloak, and Star Veil do not stack. On the PC version, Console version, Mobile version, and tModLoader version, the effect is only triggered when the player takes damage from hostile enemies, whereas on the Old-gen console version, Windows Phone version, Old Chinese version, Nintendo 3DS version, and tModLoader 1.3-Legacy version, it is triggered regardless of the source, including fall damage, drowning, and lava, among others. ![]()
